Got to run lights for a Yacht Rock show tonight. Had a really fun time, I mean, got to run lights to the song "Africa", it was pretty great.

Most of the time on my blog I only talk about things I have been involved with. In this case, was just a normal audience member watching a show, really great show. Video was as always with his stuff, really great.
Got to head up a project of adding light to some scenic cubes over the past few weeks. A Very interesting task with a lot of LED tape involved. Even built a control rack for the system with power supplies, controllers, even a DMX in/out on the back.
Used the full system with 14 cubes this past week and wanted to share some photos! It was some long nights to get this one done, but everyone seemed to be really happy with the final outcome. Could not have done with this without the help of some fine people at The Entertainment Department.
On a corporate show this week, we have some scenic that normally I'm not a fan of. Tried some new lighting idea's this time around and gotten a lot of nice complement on it. Thought I would share here.
Litte video I shot of a cool look, I call it the flyerfly look for walkins and outs. Less is More kind of effect in my eyes.
Here's a look I came up with for when everyone was waiting for more song goodness to come from Mr Yankovic. It was a static look, but it really came across neat when in person. Happened upon the photo today and wanted to share it.
Got to attend Blizzcon with Weird Al performing. Very interesting few days of getting to see some really whacky stuff. Had a great time and would say we had a very nice show!
Last show tonight after being out for 3 1/2 months and let's end it at RADIO CITY! (I have not done 200) BUT, tonight is the 200th show of the tour as well as being the last one, for now...
The start of our show, Tacky at Radio City, I'm the camera dude. Must point out, our camera is in focus, cellphone camera dude, not always in focus... Thanks for checking it out!
Last weekend was really very special. Weird Al played two nights at the Hollywood Bowl in LA with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Crazy few days of playing Conan O'brien at Comic Con. Rehearsals the next day with full orchestra for the show that night. Lot of pressure, business decisions were made, copies of important documents were copied, breakfast sandwiches were ordered. Then, we had two really good shows at the Bowl. I’m truly thankful to of had a chance like this to be apart of a production of this size. Had a lot more people then normal on the lighting intercom those two nights.
Wanted to share some photos/videos. No photos were “supposed” to of been taken on stage…... Some of these are taken by myself, some taken by Jon Schwartz and Jesse Barone, some taken by a random guy who was drunk at the end of the show one night (photo I’m in)
Beyond thrilled to be back out with Weird Al Yankovic for the final leg of the Mandatory Fun Tour as the new lighting designer!!
Only bummer on the NY shows was the very little amount of haze we were able to use due to fire systems bla bla bla. But still turned out great.
A very quick video of myself running lights for the Rachel Platten Show in Atlanta. (Little Loud)
Few photos from this wonderful tour I got to be a part of. So happy with how the lighting turned out!
Had a great time working with Kinesys Rigging today. Working on Automating some truss with lighting. Really cool/unique project to get to be a part of.
Crammed as much as I could into the Summer show Mixtape 2015 at Six Flags over Georgia. They asked for "sensory overload" with lighting. Had 4 DMX universes filled for the one 20min show.
Posted this to my Facebook a few months back and thought I should re-post here. Definitely a highlight of 2014 for me! Have a happy Holiday everyone and a great NEW YEAR!
When I was 9 I spoke to the lighting designer of the Eagles at a concert with my dad. He let me listen to the spots being called and even let me run the board for the last song in the Omni. Yesterday we playing Philips Arena (took the place of the Omni) and while listening to the spot chatter on headset last night, just felt like a full circle. Would like to thank everyone who has been a part and helped out on this voyage of mine. Could not of done it without all of you!
Really proud of my last show with Gavin Degraw this past year. At the Ryman, parents where in attendance, good friends were there, last day kind of feel, and it was my birthday. Not to many good videos of the show on youtube. Did however find this one, seems to capture the vibe that night.
